Oceansedge is a meticulously maintained, beautifully landscaped, traditional home on the shores of Hulls Cove, just minutes from Bar Harbor and the entrance to Acadia National Park. The owner is responsive and will do his best to make your stay enjoyable. The property is extremely private; we did not see any neighbors during our stay. There is a general store and a very nice restaurant (The Chart Room) just up the road, and the entrance to Acadia National Park is less than a mile from the house, with access to the Carriage Roads for hiking and biking. The property met all of our need for a relaxing family vacation and the location simply can’t be beat.

Our family had a terrific week at OceansEdge. The view is amazing, the location to Bar Harbor and Acadia was perfect. Jack was a terrific host, met us when we arrived, loved the blueberry pies, and the Maryland flag. The house was charming and the wildlife was a daily treat. Would definitely go back.

My family of three kids (14, 11, 8) and grandparents stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The house is on a beautiful lot on the water, with a great yard full of wildlife and superb views. While we spent most of our time on the back patio, the house is very comfortable and well appointed with nice space. We also loved the convenience of the location to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We will be back!

We are doing GREAT and enjoying your wonderful home!!! This is such a fantastic place and beautiful location. We have been having a blast feeding the animals and watching their antics. The pictures of this property do not lie. It is as beautiful as it looks. The location is terrific - quiet, secluded, yet close enough for a short drive to town. The owner is wonderful to deal with.

I brought a stack of books! I am a lifelong student and I read and take notes to this day . . . I would love to come back with my family this summer. I’m guessing I’ll have o book well in advance. our hospitality knows no end. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed even though the weather is not cooperating !!! Its been a memorable week! What a delightful experience it was. Such a lovely residence in an ideal location. It was perfect for our three families. Highlights of our stay included feeding the wildlife, searching for treasure on the shore, kayaking, and admiring the incredible view. We will always remember our wonderful family vacation. We ended each evening sitting out in the yard with your flock of ducks and our new best friends, the chipmunks. I could not be happier. My kids , mother, and mother-in-law are ecstatic. I am very impressed with the house but probably most impressed with the hospitality. I appreciate all the little things . . . beach towels, bug repellent, fresh flowers, wine, music . . . and more. Above all, to me personally, is the Texas flag (hung in the correct orientation!) That shows that you really care. Not an overabundant trait that you find in these times. I fully intend to be a “regular” client for this place.

We are loving your home and property. Our son has many chipmunks already. They may need to go on a diet when he leaves. We had a wonderful time. All was perfect!

Our trip there was incredible. It far surpassed our very high expectation! There was something for everyone to enjoy, from the “littles” to the big kids as well. We have so many incredible memories embedded in our minds that we will never leave us, and, for that, we are eternally grateful. We are definitely planning another visit to your home next summer! I wanted to write and tell you again how much we enjoyed our time in Maine. It was exactly the getaway and renewal needed. You home was the perfect setting! The house and grounds were breathtaking. Also, I can’t explain how much joy and entertainment those little chipmunks provided. The beds and linens were fabulous! And just the comfort we needed after our hikes – oh, and lots of hot water.

We had a great time. It was a wonderful trip.

Although we live in the West, if ever we are fortunate enough to find ourselves near Acadia National Park in Maine again, we will know just where to stay. This Hulls Cove home is perfectly appointed, beautiful, serene, and comfortable in every way. Though our party had come with the intention of seeing the national park, we joked more than once about forgetting our plans for Acadia in favor of remaining in the perfect oceanside setting and beauty of the home. That said, this was the ideal, convenient location for visiting spectacular Acadia and the surrounding area. The owner of the home, meticulous for detail, was beyond gracious, kind, and accommodating. We were delighted to find the flag from our home state flying to greet us upon our arrival. We felt in every way as though we were visiting the home of an old friend in the sense that everything we needed had been taken care of, the door was open, the lights were one, everything was perfectly clean and comfortable, and our favorite books were on the shelves. Each person in our party of eight would highly recommend this home--of many vacation rental homes over the years, our favorite!

Everything is perfect for us.

My husband, Tom and I have returned from our vacation in wonderful Maine and Chatham on Cape Cod hence this rather tardy e-mail. My family and I thank you for a lovely stay in your very welcoming and comfortable home. The location was perfect; so beautiful and so Maine. All of us from the baby to the grandparents enjoyed your picturesque home and grounds. We also delighted in your interesting e-mails especially the soliloquy on the Asticou Inn. We had a delicious dinner there. Once more, my second guess for your middle name is Barrymore. John Barrymore Dyer flows quite nicely. Four-year-old Elsa was in tears on our last morning she did not want to leave. She loved feeding the animals: The chipmunks actually ate out of her hand. We liked all the animals: They were entertaining. We did many fun activities. We hiked, had fantastic popovers with strawberry jam at the Jordan Pond House,went on a sunset sail on the Margaret Todd, ate fabulous lobsters,had blueberry pancakes at Jordan's on Cottage Street, and played on Sand Beach. My younger son, Tim and I experienced sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. Surprisingly there were about sixty other nutty enthusiasts present. Thank you for sharing your gracious home and for taking such good care of us. We had a marvelous time!

We are thrilled to be here. I travel the world. And this is the trip and experience I most looked forward to. What a spectacular week it has been. To have our dear friends together. In such a gorgeous home and setting. With such exquisite weather. Made for a lifetime of memories. We appreciate your home. We've had a lovely time in Hulls Cove this week and are sad to be leaving this morning, but all good things do end! Everything's fabulous!

We had a wonderful time at Hulls Cove. There were only three of us so we didn’t take full advantage of all you have to offer. But we did spend some time at the water and cooked one meal there, lobster, of course. I would love to spend time again at Hulls Cove. We’ll see what life brings!

There is so much to see in this fabulous home. Went out onto the terrace this morning, laid on the grass and took in the ambience! I am in paradise.
